Spring 2026 Helfrich Bicycles Newsletter

Spring 2026 Helfrich Bicycles Newsletter Highlights:

  • Happy Spring, everyone! This year’s repair season started a little early, with clients pulling bikes out of garages and sheds, even in the cold, to get ready for the warmer weather ahead.
  • Spring Bike Wake-Up Checklist: Before you head out for your first ride of the season, take a few minutes to make sure your bike is safe, comfortable, and ready to roll. A bike that has been sitting in a garage, shed, or basement all winter may need a little attention before it is truly road or trail-ready.
  • Refresh Spotlight: A Schwinn, Giant, and Trek are all featured with spring refresh work completed.
  • What Your Tires Are Trying to Tell You: Look for cracked rubber, cuts in the tread or sidewall, frayed casing, worn-down tread, bulges, or debris stuck in the tire. These are all signs that a tire may not longer be safe or dependable.
  • Beyond Lancaster – Great Regional Trails: The York County Heritage Trail, Cumberland Valley Rail Trail, and Union Canal Towpath Trail are all featured with trailhead parking locations.
  • Need service? Simply schedule by clicking on “Schedule a Bike Repair” and make an appointment. Referrals are greatly appreciated!
